I'm a Ph.D. Candidate in Civil & Environmental Engineering at York University. My work combines academic research, applied engineering, and entrepreneurship — bridging rigorous investigation with real-world application.
Before starting my doctorate, I earned a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering and spent several years in industry as an engineer and project manager. Those years shaped how I approach problems today: grounded in theory, but always moving toward implementation and delivery.
Alongside my research, I've co-founded a technology venture emerging from my doctoral work, published in peer-reviewed journals, presented at international conferences, and taken on teaching and course-development responsibilities. I'm currently pursuing P.Eng. licensure through the Professional Engineers of Ontario and exploring roles at the intersection of research, engineering, and consulting.
Outside work, I'm an international student originally from Iran, fluent in English and Persian, and always chasing the next challenge — whether that's a long walk outdoors, a new technical tool, or a good film.
